Apache creation myth

Apache

       In the beginning of the story, there is nothing in the world. Everywhere was darkness. Only the Apache existed. One day they created everything that they wanted and after they felt boring, so they dropping down all the living like human, animals and trees. They created all the world by their own ideas. They know they need to create more living to make the world prefect.

        

       I think this is the Indian Myth cause you can find the traits in the story easily. For example there is nothing originally but the Apache created all the things in the world.

Lodge-Boy and Thrown-Away

      In this story, there are the twins called Lodge-Boy and Thrown-Away. The father of Lodge-Boy, seem to be know something will happen later. Every time he knows what will happen later, he advice the children try not to go there. But every time they met the monster they can kill that monster easily. At least, the twins help the Thunder-Bird to kill the monster and they become the hero.

      

    This story told us what is the right things to do and need to help people. In the story, we can see this is the Native American Myth from the twins make their mother revive and help the Thunder-Bird. Those elements are very useful in Native American myth. So you can see this is the Native American myth obviously.

Raven and the Sources of Light

Long time ago, the world was young and all living creatures shrouded in the darkness of an eternal night. There are no moon and sun stone in the sky. Raven knows his people need the sun to bring forth the food to survive and moon for catching fish at night. So Raven transformed himself into a seed and floated on the surface of the stream. Then chief’s daughter drinks the water, after that she became pregnant and in the time she give birth to a son. The chief loved his grandson very much and give him whatever he wanted. One day the chief gave his grandson a bag that filled with star, sun and moon. Later, the chief is busy and forgot to close the smoke hole. The boy play the balls as usual and the child resumed his Raven shape, grasped the ball of light in his claws, and flew up through the smoke hole into the sky. The last he said to the people ‘If you give me some fish and I will give you some light.” After that the people gave him part of their catch. Finally he lifted this wing, grabbed the sun with both claws and tossed it high in the sky. Now his people will have light all day.

I think this creation myth is the accretion or conjunction myth, cause the story is using some primordial elements. The creator of this story also using the Anthropomorphism to make the main character like the human.

The Sky Tree

The Sky Tree

          This story is talking about the Sky Land. In the beginning, Earth was covered with water. People were living in the Sky Land and all the food that they ate came from the great tree. One day the chief became sick and nothing could cure him. Day after day, he grew weaker and seemed he would die. Then a dream come to him and told him that a method can heal him. He needed to eat the fruit which grow at top of Sky Tree. Then he told his wife Aataentsic to help him to do it. Aataentsic struck it and split in half as soon as possible. After that, a hole opened in Sky Land and the tree fell through the hole. As Aataentsic fell, a turtle looked up and called all the animals to dive down to get the soil. When the animals get the soil and put it onto the turtle’s back. The turtle use the soil to make an island and all the living things grow up again in that island.

          I think this story is the origin myth and some phenomena happened like the

turtle’s back become an island. You can see this type of myth is using the human and the animals to bring out the start of the world.   

The Emergence

The summary of “The Emergence “

          The emergence is talking about the beginning of the world. All the inhabitants are wingless insects. One day the insects found the world was unpleasant to live and they continue to find the world that can meet their need.

          The characteristics of Native American myth always explain the workings of the natural world and guide people through the trials of living. This story is passing through many characters to act the different position in the world.

         The Native American myth usually use rhythm to help you to remember the story, so you can see the author emphasize some words for many time in the story.

Everything hinged on one final decision. And now, for the first time ever, I need to make the decision and that will influence my life. It is also a wager for me. If I lose it, I will lose everything. There are two reasons for this decision: firstly, I will earn a lot of money from this trade and I will become famous after the gamble.

I am an investment banker. I had been working in an investment bank since 2007. I have no friends “at the top” or “ on the inside”, so it hardly to be successful in my job .In the spring of 2010, I heard an insider information from the administrator inadvertently and that was about a company will collapse after a few years. At first, I thought that was a rumor, but after the analysis, I found that is real and decided to make a plan to earn lots of money. Everyone is greedy for gain and no one want to be a loser in the world. It wasn’t legality but I still need to do it cause I want to be successful in the company. After that, I sold all my things included my house to buy lot of share from that company and I am ready for short sell the share later.

Unsurprisingly, that company didn’t have enough money for the operation. The following week, the share price of that company was falling down and I started short sell all the share at that time.

Finally, I earned a lot of money from short sell the share of that company. I also become famous in the field of investment. When I gained everything that I wanted before, I discovered that money and the position are not important for me. The most important thing for me is I reached it and came through the other side.
